A man talks about his studies in the Primary and Secondary Education and at a
vocational school in Greece.
Μ.G.: The school during the first years in Floka was
six-grade. We had a teacher and she had become a teacher,
I can say I don’t believe she had attended University for more than a year and
they had awarded her a diploma to teach because there
was a big deficiency of teachers, she taught us some doodles, very little,
when I arrived and attended Primary School at Gargalianoi
I learned for the first-time what grammar is. In my father’s small village,
the teacher had never taught us grammar, while in mathematics
we were quite good. I finished Primary School, I went to Junior High for three
years in Gargalianoi, I stopped, I worked for a little while
at PPC (Public Power Corporation).
