A man reports the reasons why he was unable to study in Greece.
P.Τ.: Eh, alright as I said, basically, the topic of
university. In Greece, at the time, there existed only one Faculty of
Engineering and of about a thousand who applied and took exams, they would
accept only about two-hundred.
Res.: Ah, I understand.
P.Τ.: Therefore, it wasn’t a case of having the
capability or not. It was that of the thousand they had, now some over there
with acquaintances and so on, certainly close to Athens, myself from Kastoria
now… And so there was no need, let’s say, it’d be, it’d be a waste of time to
sit and struggle over there.
Res.: I understand.
P.Τ.: And when I came here of course, I moved on
without any issue.
Res.: And your goal was to return to Greece or was it
to stay afterwards?
P.Τ.: Yes, my goal initially was to return to Greece
and in the end, I returned for a while.
Res.: Ah, you returned?
