Tenures of contribution

F.Τ.: My first involvement in associations was in the association of Coans, the Coan association of Hippocrates… ah, which may have been founded before I came to Canada, perhaps at some point in ’67, but at some point, they had paused and we resurrected it, you could say, ourselves in the period of ’71-’72. Ah… for many years, at least for ten years until almost before I left for Greece in ’82, I was always in the association and I assisted them. I also served as the association’s chairman, eh… I think ’75 to ’77, somewhere there. Also, we had the Dodecanesian Society which was for the whole Dodecanese and there I was in the council for many years and I served and assisted as much as each one of us can to his ability. At least these I can remember. Then, coming to Saint Nicholas, in Saint Nicholas I entered the council of Saint Nicholas, I believe around the period of ’89-’90 somewhere in there. Due to the fact that we had the juices and the kids attended the Greek school here, I remember at the time, Father John and George Kokoris, who was chairman at the time and I had told them “Guys, come tell me what you’d like” and I always supplied them with juices and whatever else they might have required and for the children to give them. So, and there started my involvement in our community here, of Saint Nicholas. And almost since then, since ’90 and until recently, two years ago I was always in the council, in various positions, eh… And I’ve served as chairman of course, and just like your dad and we all served our parish as much as we could and whatever is… we offered whatever each one of us could.
