After work

A man mentions how he spent his time after work.

D.Μ.: Look, after we finished with the restaurant where we were working night, we’d go somewhere to have a drink, we’d meet with our friends. Back then the… the Greeks over here, the Greek element and particularly at Danforth foremost many people had, they had the clubs, they had the Hesperides, the beaux which we frequented, we were getting acquainted with other friends there as well and where our friends had other friends and so as… We danced, we were going for dancing every night if we found the weekends.
RES.: So, were you usually frequenting the Greek clubs or were you going to the Canadian ones which were at Young [...].
D.Μ.: To the Canadian ones as well. Back then there was Yorkville.
RES.: Yorkville, yeah.
D.Μ.: We used to go numerous times to Yorkville.
RES.: Nice.
D.Μ.: Yes, we frequented it. You know when you finish work at night, all the waiters who worked at the… back then there were no mobile phones but one would call at work and he’d say, he’d leave a message telling you “When you finish”, “Where are you”, “Come meet me in either Danforth, or Yorkville, or…”.
RES.: Nice.
D.Μ.: Yes, yes.
